This is a Goebel figurine of a mother rabbit tending to her baby. There are several other Goebel mother and baby rabbit figurines; this one is the hardest to find. The mark on the bottom is the stylized bee with W. Germany underneath, indicating that it was manufactured before 1972. There is an incised 55. This figurine was made in a mold but hand painted. SIZE: This figurine is about 6" by 2 3/4" and is 3 3/4" tall. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE A RULER TO SEE WHAT SIZE THE ITEM IS. BACKGROUND: I recently bought a number of things from the estate of a neighbor who had an incredible collection of figurines - easily 5 or 6 times as many as I've ever seen in a private home before. I'll be continuing to list figurines from this estate over the next several weeks.
