    Description

    Wood carving of a pair of raccoons mounted with driftwood on a nice piece of walnut. The animals are carved from light colored wood.  Feet of one are painted. The stripes of the tails and masks are created with carving or possibly pyrography. Natural variations in the wood are visible. 4.5" high; 8 x 10" base. Signed on bottom: ALW N88. Alice Lois Weaver (1917-2007) was from the Canton area near Asheville, NC. She worked in office of Three Mountaineers (a woodworking shop) for 7 years.  Will refund any significant overage in shipping charge.
